Son’s Gap and LoveshackFancy campaign fulfill Ciara’s childhood dream

Ciara thanked her son for his support with Gap and LoveShackFancy. The 37-year-old singer had always dreamed of working with Gap, and she finally got her chance when her son Future Zaheer collaborated with the company in a campaign in 2017 when he was 3 years old.

Speaking to WWD, Ciara said: “I used to always dream of being a part of something with Gap when I was young, and it’s kind of amazing how my son gave me that opportunity, because he did a campaign in 2017.”

He was the first in our family to do that work. I was watching my daughter, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I hope she can do a campaign like her brother did with Gap.’ And then a week later, I get a call really talking about [it], ‘Gap has an amazing partnership with LoveShackFancy and we would love for you and your child to be a part of it.’ Ciara said.

Ciara said, “I’m fangirling. One, he’s a Black designer. And Kwame has such a great, nuanced, attractive touch, and his silhouettes are amazing.”

Designer Rebecca Hessel Cohen of LoveShackFancy said, “I was so excited because Gap has been so important to me my whole life, and I’ve gotten so big going to that Gap on 74th [Street] with Lexington. It was like a ritual. I lived in it.”
